Clinical Assessor – Hybrid Remote

Maximus is currently looking for a Clinical Assessor to join our team. The Clinical Assessor will be responsible for conducting field IDD assessments (inside individual’s homes and agencies) as well as ensuring quality standards, supporting activities, and attending monthly assessor calls.

This is a hybrid remote opportunity with travel required; must live in Western Tennessee.

Education and Experience Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for completing Supports Intensity Scale Assessments
  • Conducts on-site assessments to determine an individual’s needs for services and supports
  • Perform all job duties in compliance with Person First standards, HIPAA guidelines, and company confidentiality policies and procedures
  • Travel may be required based on program contract requirements, approximately 60-65%
  • Preferred knowledge may include community support programs, ID/DD disability, related programs and services
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of medical and/or behavioral health diagnoses and prescribed medications, related to ID/DD
  • Regularly collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Work to meet timelines in a fast-paced independent enironment

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree minimum
  • 2 years of direct experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Experience as a Teacher, Social Worker, or Case Manager preferred
  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Travel:

  • The job requires travel using personal motor vehicle
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required
  • Incumbent is responsible for submitting updated copies of driver’s license and vehicle insurance information as needed

Home Office Requirements:

  • Maximus provides company-issued computer equipment
  • Reliable high-speed internet service
    • Minimum 20 Mpbs download speeds/50 Mpbs for shared internet connectivity
    • Minimum 5 Mpbs upload speeds
  • Private and secure workspace

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate’s education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
